Change in youth services

MATCH was founded with the aim of providing social connection, recreation opportunities, and social skills training for young adults and kids with developmental disabilities. This is still the aim! But we have expanded the net of what we offer by onboarding Board-Certified Behavior Analysts Remy Kaleb and Jen Klapatch, transplants from the Chicago area.

Jen and Remy are currently training our staff who work with our youth clients in the foundational principals of applied behavior analysts. They crafted this 30 hour mandatory training around our clients' specific needs and MATCH's weekly programming. Services will resume for our Adolescent & Teen Transition Program on September 2, 2025 through the lens of behavioral support services after our staff have completed training.

Teen & Adolescent Transition Program

Several of our middle school kids transitioned into high school last week! This developmental change means we need to supports our kids in new ways and think proactively about their emerging needs.

Through creative group projects and personalized internship/work placements, we will help our clients develop the skills they need to be happy, successful designers of their own lives so that they are prepared for the next transition: adulthood. Targeted skills include executive functioning, adaptive skills, coping and emotional regulation, communication and self-advocacy, social skills, and family/stakeholder involvement.

Our new space at 101C Boat Yard Drive will facilitate the collaborative atmosphere we aim to create. It's open floor plan is perfect for designing a large group art area. It has a small kitchen, ADA bathroom, and an enclosed office space to keep administrative tasks rolling.
